Larry “Jay” Hance, KI4OTR: New JCARES Emergency Coordinator
I am pleased to announce that effective March 1, 2014, Jay Hance has been appointed as Emergency Coordinator for the Jefferson County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. Jay succeeds Dan O’Donovan, W4DOD who has been appointed Tennessee Section Emergency Coordinator (see related announcement).
Jay, who holds an Extra Class License, brings a wealth of experience to his new position and is one of the original members of the JCARES organization. During his years of service and commitment to JCARES, he has been involved in nearly all JCARES events and exercises and was a key player in the development of the KN4EM station.
Please join me in welcoming and supporting Jay in his new leadership role.
